Located in the Lancaster region of the U.S. state of Nebraska, you’ll find Lincoln. It’s got big city appeal but manages to maintain its friendly, small town feel.
If you’re in Lincoln on a Saturday in the Fall make sure you’ve got tickets to the Husker Football. The University of Nebraska College football stadium seats about 80,000 fans and often the whole city ‘shuts down’ to watch the game.
The city is home to a large number of public parks and recreational areas. Visit Antelope Park for the Lincoln’s Children Zoo and the Sunken Gardens. You’ll also find Woods Park, Holmes Park, Oak Lake Park, Pioneers Park, Tierra Park, and Wilderness Park. All of Lincoln’s parks are joined by a 159km system of trails.
